Jindal Poly Films reported a standalone net loss of Rs 2,02,709 lakhs for FY26 versus a profit of Rs 38,347 lakhs in FY25. Revenue rose 3.9 percent to Rs 69,739 lakhs. The loss was driven by exceptional items of Rs 2,14,716 lakhs, mainly provisions for doubtful loans (Rs 1,42,131 lakhs) and receivables (Rs 41,900 lakhs) from a subsidiary hit by a fire at its Nashik factory. Standalone auditor gave an unmodified opinion; consolidated opinion was qualified due to inventory verification issues at the same subsidiary. EPS turned negative at Rs (482.96).
Massive exceptional provisions and a qualified opinion on consolidated results raise concerns about subsidiary exposure; negative EPS signals a difficult year for shareholders.
