On the reaction day the stock moved 0.8 pts less than Nifty 100 and 2.5 pts less than its Iron & Steel peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Jindal Steel's Q2 FY26 consolidated gross revenue was Rs 13,505 crore, adjusted EBITDA Rs 1,875 crore and PAT Rs 635 crore, down from Rs 1,496 crore PAT in Q1. H1 PAT was Rs 2,131 crore, down 3% year on year. Net debt was 1.48 times EBITDA. Angul added 4.6 million tonnes of blast furnace and 3 million tonnes of oxygen furnace capacity. Auditors flagged going-concern uncertainty at two overseas subsidiaries.
Profit pressure may weigh on sentiment; Angul expansion supports future output, but overseas subsidiary going-concern uncertainty remains a key risk.
