Jio Platforms' September-quarter consolidated revenue from operations was Rs 40,475 crore and profit after tax Rs 8,387 crore, up 11.4% and 13.7% year on year. Half-year revenue was Rs 79,648 crore and profit Rs 16,151 crore. Standalone half-year revenue and profit rose 26.4% and 39.6%. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation improved to about 54.1% of revenue from 51.6%. Rs 27,500 crore IPO proceeds prepaid Jio Infocomm debt.
Higher profit and faster standalone growth support sentiment, while debt repayment from IPO proceeds can lower leverage and finance costs.

From the company's XBRL filing, not from the text above. Operating profit = profit before tax − exceptional items − other income. EBITDA = profit before tax + finance costs + depreciation − other income. No year-ago figures on this basis yet, so no comparison.
