Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
JK Agri Genetics reported standalone revenue from operations of Rs. 7,895.84 lakhs and total income of Rs. 7,979.43 lakhs for Q1 FY26, with profit before tax of Rs. 1,222.41 lakhs and net profit after tax of Rs. 1,224.43 lakhs, translating to EPS of Rs. 26.49. Total expenses stood at Rs. 6,767.02 lakhs. The company cautioned that its seed business is seasonal, so Q1 is not representative of full-year performance. Consolidated results are being published for the first time since the new associate (JK Agri Research Services Ltd, w.e.f. 3 January 2025) was added. The auditor (Lodha & Co LLP) issued an unmodified review report but flagged an emphasis of matter relating to overdue trade receivables of Rs. 1,823.67 lakhs and a security deposit of Rs. 121.68 lakhs from Rajasthan State Seeds Corporation (RSSC). The company's Section 34 application against the earlier arbitration award was dismissed during the quarter, and it has filed an appeal before the Rajasthan High Court on 29 July 2025.
Short-term: Q1 numbers look healthy but cannot be extrapolated due to seasonal business cycles; the RSSC legal setback increases risk on nearly Rs. 1,945 lakhs of receivables/deposits that remain unsecured and unrecovered. Shareholders should track the High Court appeal outcome, as an adverse ruling could lead to provisioning and hit future earnings.
