On the reaction day the stock moved 2.5 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 2.3 pts more than its Cement & Cement Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Q2 FY26 net sales rose 24.1% to Rs 1,531.77 crore, while net profit was Rs 82.33 crore versus a loss of Rs 21.79 crore. Half-year net profit rose to Rs 234 crore from Rs 34.58 crore. Operating profit before interest, depreciation and tax rose to Rs 232.86 crore from Rs 100.56 crore, lifting its margin to 15.2% from 8.1%. The subsidiary merger became effective; 2024 figures were restated and scheme costs were reported as an exceptional item.
Strong profit growth and lower leverage may support sentiment, but merger costs, expansion funding and the mining-rights dispute add risk.
