On the reaction day the stock moved 5.0 pts less than its Cement & Cement Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Q2 FY27 sales were 29.83 lakh tonnes, up 5 percent YoY but down 17 percent QoQ; capacity use was 62 percent. Revenue rose 6 percent YoY to Rs 1,617 crore, but EBITDA fell 26 percent YoY to Rs 154 crore and profit after tax fell 75 percent YoY to Rs 21 crore. Gross debt was Rs 2,638 crore. Management flags margin pressure from energy costs. Capacity is projected to rise from 18.0 MTPA in FY27 to 22.6 in FY28, 23.6 in FY29 and 25.1 in FY30.
Capacity expansion supports future growth, but weak Q2 profit, margin pressure and higher debt could weigh on the stock.
