JM Financial's board approved audited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2025, with an unmodified opinion from statutory auditor KKC & Associates LLP. On a consolidated basis, total income fell to ₹4,452.83 crore from ₹4,832.16 crore a year earlier, but net profit jumped sharply to ₹996.85 crore versus ₹353.37 crore, boosted by the absence of a one-time exceptional charge of ₹846.86 crore that had hit the Alternative & Distressed Credit segment in FY24. Standalone net profit rose to ₹538.74 crore from ₹309.60 crore. The board recommended a dividend of ₹2.70 per share for FY25 and fixed the 40th AGM for August 12, 2025. It also appointed Mr. Hariharan Ramamurthi Aiyar as a non-executive director and Shroff Negandhi & Associates LLP as secretarial auditors for five years from FY26.
The headline profit jump looks strong, but is largely a rebound from last year's large exceptional loss in the distressed credit book rather than organic growth, since consolidated revenue actually shrank. The auditor's emphasis-of-matter note on the SEBI order restricting JM Financial from acting as lead manager in public debt issues until March 31, 2025 is a lingering overhang, though the bar has now expired. Dividend of ₹2.70 per share offers modest income support to shareholders.
