JSL Industries reported Q2 FY26 revenue from operations of ₹1,318.37 lakhs, up about 7.6% from ₹1,224.94 lakhs in Q2 FY25. However, for the half year (H1 FY26), revenue from operations dipped slightly to ₹2,537.84 lakhs from ₹2,613.41 lakhs a year ago, a decline of around 3%. EBITDA for H1 was nearly flat at ₹158.09 lakhs (vs ₹157.01 lakhs). Profit after tax for the half year fell sharply to ₹135.79 lakhs from ₹564.76 lakhs, mainly because the previous year included a large one-time gain of ₹473.31 lakhs on fair value of investments, which was much smaller this year (₹27.62 lakhs). EPS for H1 stood at ₹11.57 versus ₹48.11 last year. The statutory auditors (Talati & Talati LLP) issued an unqualified limited review report.
Operational performance (revenue and EBITDA) was broadly stable, so the steep drop in reported PAT is largely a comparison effect from last year's non-recurring investment gain rather than a real business deterioration. Short-term stock reaction is likely muted, though the headline profit numbers look weak.
