JSW Cement filed its Q2 FY27 call transcript. Revenue rose 33% year on year to INR1,912 crore, volume rose 26% to 3.93 million tonnes, operating EBITDA was INR278 crore (up 4%) and profit after tax INR77 crore. North India reached EBITDA breakeven. September and October price rises should support margins, though fuel costs will rise. Net debt was INR4,287 crore, or 3.2 times EBITDA. FY28 capex is planned at INR2,000 crore.
Volume growth and price hikes help earnings, but high fuel costs and 3.2 times leverage cap upside. North savings and capacity growth are positives.
