On the reaction day the stock moved 2.2 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 1.5 pts less than its Cement & Cement Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Group revenue rose 17% year on year to ₹1,436 crore in the September quarter, and volume rose 15% to 3.11 million tonnes. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rose 64% to ₹267.5 crore and margin rose to 18.6% from 13.3%. Profit was ₹75.4 crore. Six-month revenue rose 12% to ₹2,996 crore, but a ₹1,466.4 crore non-cash charge on preference-share conversion caused a ₹1,291.1 crore loss. Net debt fell to ₹3,231 crore.
Quarterly growth and lower net debt are positive. The one-off charge caused the half-year loss, but no such charge is expected later.
