The board of Akzo Nobel India (makers of Dulux Paints) approved audited results for Q4 and FY25 ended 31 March 2025. FY25 revenue grew 3% to Rs. 4,091.2 crore, EBIT held flat at Rs. 551.8 crore (13.5% margin), and PAT was flat at Rs. 428.6 crore. The board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 30 per share, taking total FY25 dividend to Rs. 100 per share, up 33% from Rs. 75 in the previous year. Record date for the dividend is 25 July 2025, with the 71st AGM scheduled for 4 August 2025. The company also plans to divest its Powder Coatings and International Research Center businesses to an Akzo Nobel N.V. subsidiary for about Rs. 2,143 crore, expected to close by 31 December 2025.
A 33% jump in total dividend is a clear positive for income-focused shareholders and signals management's confidence in cash flows. The record date of 25 July 2025 is the cutoff to be eligible for the final dividend, so shares must be held by that date.
