Akzo Nobel India (maker of Dulux Paints) announced audited results for Q4 and FY 2024-25. Full year revenue rose 3% to Rs. 4,091.2 crore while net profit was largely flat at Rs. 428.6 crore. Q4 revenue grew 5% to Rs. 1,022.1 crore. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 30 per share, taking the total FY25 dividend to Rs. 100 per share (up 33% from Rs. 75 in FY24, including an interim Rs. 70 already paid in November 2024). The 71st AGM is scheduled for August 4, 2025, with July 25, 2025 fixed as the record date. The company is also divesting its Powder Coatings and International Research Center divisions to a subsidiary of its Dutch parent Akzo Nobel N.V. for a combined Rs. 2,143 crore.
The 33% jump in total dividend to Rs. 100/share is a positive signal for income investors and reflects strong cash generation, though the flat profit may cap near-term excitement. The planned divestment of non-core businesses should streamline the portfolio and could unlock value when completed by December 2025.
