JSW Energy reported strong FY2026 results with consolidated revenue from operations growing 60.9% year-on-year to ₹18,901 crore, driven by acquisitions (177 subsidiaries including major renewable energy assets). Profit after tax increased 39.3% to ₹2,762 crore from ₹1,983 crore in FY2025. EPS improved to ₹12.82 from ₹11.19. Total assets nearly doubled to ₹1,24,182 crore from ₹89,939 crore, reflecting significant expansion through acquisitions worth over ₹9,600 crore during the year. The company recommended a dividend of ₹2 per share (20%) for FY2025-26. Borrowings increased substantially from ₹49,621 crore to ₹75,846 crore to fund the expansion. The auditors from Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the financial statements.
Positive for shareholders as revenue and profit grew significantly. However, the debt-equity ratio rose sharply from 1.81x to 2.47x, indicating higher leverage. The aggressive acquisition strategy is expanding the asset base but increases financial risk.
