On the reaction day the stock moved 0.5 pts less than Nifty Midcap 150 and 0.5 pts less than its Power Generation peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

JSW Energy shareholders and unsecured creditors approved the Scheme of Arrangement with GE Power India Limited in NCLT-convened meetings held on 20 July 2026. Both the equity shareholders and unsecured creditors voted in favour with the requisite majority under Section 230(6) of the Companies Act, 2013. Members raised queries on benefits, transaction cost, share swap ratio and completion timeline, which management addressed. The scheme now awaits NCLT sanction and other regulatory clearances.
Positive step for the GE Power India merger; still requires NCLT sanction and regulatory approvals before becoming effective.
