JSW Infrastructure has received a major credit rating boost from global agencies. Fitch upgraded its Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating and the rating on its US$ 400 million senior secured notes due 2029 from BB+ to BBB- with a Stable outlook, moving it into investment grade territory. Moody's affirmed its corporate family rating and senior secured bond rating at Ba1 but revised the outlook upward from Stable to Positive. S&P Global had also recently assigned an investment grade rating of BBB- with Stable outlook. The company is India's second-largest private commercial port operator and plans to expand cargo capacity to 400 MTPA by 2030.
This is a positive development for shareholders — entering investment grade broadens JSW Infrastructure's access to global capital at lower borrowing costs and signals strong financial health, which could support valuation and future growth plans.
