On the reaction day the stock moved 1.0 pts more than Nifty 100 and 0.3 pts more than its Iron & Steel peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
CARE Ratings upgraded JSW Steel's long-term rating from AA to AA+ with stable outlook across bank facilities, NCDs, and issuer rating. Short-term rating reaffirmed at A1+. Upgrade driven by around Rs 37,350 crore cash inflow from BPSL steel business slump-sale to JFE JV, used largely for deleveraging. Net debt to PBILDT improved to 2.60x in FY26 from 4.38x in FY25, overall gearing to 1.16x from 1.51x.
Positive for shareholders: higher rating may lower future borrowing costs and reflects stronger balance sheet after BPSL deal.
