K M Sugar Mills Ltd has reported audited financial results for FY 2025-26 with net profit after tax of Rs 5,342 lakhs, up 50% from Rs 3,555 lakhs in the previous year. Revenue from operations remained flat at Rs 65,838 lakhs vs Rs 65,901 lakhs last year. The company operates in Sugar and Distillery segments, with sugar contributing Rs 59,792 lakhs to revenue. Finance costs decreased to Rs 1,170 lakhs from Rs 1,817 lakhs, helping improve profitability. Basic EPS improved to Rs 5.81 per share from Rs 3.86. The Board also approved appointment of Mrs. Naina Jhunjhunwala as Additional Director and increased salary of related party Mr. Vatsal Jhunjhunwala (VP) to Rs 10 lakhs per month subject to shareholder approval. Statutory auditors M/s Mehrotra & Mehrotra issued an unmodified (clean) opinion.
The 50% PAT growth is positive for shareholders despite flat revenue, driven by better cost management and lower finance costs. However, the related party transaction regarding salary increase for a family member may draw scrutiny from minority investors.
