K&R Rail Engineering Ltd reported unaudited Q3 FY26 (Oct–Dec 2025) results showing a steep sequential and year-on-year revenue decline. Consolidated revenue from operations fell to Rs 1,185.87 lakhs from Rs 3,376.86 lakhs in Q2 FY26 (about 65% QoQ drop) and Rs 1,522.40 lakhs in Q3 FY25 (about 22% YoY drop). The company swung to a consolidated loss after tax of Rs 86.46 lakhs in Q3 FY26, versus a profit of Rs 642.80 lakhs in H1 FY26 consolidated and Rs 636.49 lakhs in standalone Q3 FY25. Management attributed the loss to selling old equipment and unused assets on completion of a project, resulting in a loss on fixed assets. On a nine-month basis (standalone), revenue grew about 13.6% YoY to Rs 15,182.40 lakhs with a profit of Rs 636.49 lakhs versus a loss of Rs 51.44 lakhs last year. Statutory auditors J Singh & Associates issued an unqualified limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results.
The sharp Q3 revenue slump and return to loss are short-term negatives that may pressure sentiment, even though the nine-month picture still shows revenue growth and a turnaround versus the prior year. Investors should watch for project pipeline, working of the Robsons Engineering subsidiary, and whether the Q3 weakness is a one-off or a trend.
