Katare Spinning Mills reported standalone unaudited results for Q2 FY26 with revenue from operations at just Rs 11.46 lakhs, down sharply from Rs 84.18 lakhs in Q2 FY25. For the half year, revenue fell to Rs 79.31 lakhs vs Rs 162.18 lakhs last year, mainly because the cotton yarn segment recorded zero sales in Q2 FY26 while solar power generation contributed Rs 11.46 lakhs. Net loss narrowed to Rs 32.33 lakhs in Q2 (from Rs 47.23 lakhs loss) and Rs 58.67 lakhs in H1 (from Rs 89.12 lakhs loss). Operating cash flow remained negative at -Rs 15.77 lakhs for H1. The auditor (G M Pawle & Associates) issued an unqualified limited review report.
Persistent losses, near-zero cotton yarn revenue, and negative operating cash flow signal serious operational stress for shareholders, though the company's low debt and equity base (Rs 285 lakhs share capital with reserves of Rs 11,241 lakhs) provide some balance sheet cushion. This is a negative signal for the stock given the sharp revenue collapse in the core cotton yarn business.
