The Board of Kati Patang Lifestyle Ltd approved audited financial results for FY25 along with a Rights Issue of equity shares (face value Rs 10) to raise approximately Rs 15 Crore from existing eligible shareholders. Issue price, entitlement ratio and record date are yet to be decided by the Board. On a consolidated basis, FY25 revenue jumped sharply to Rs 11.82 crore (from Rs 5.14 crore), driven by new revenue from alcohol and beer through its 98%-owned subsidiary Empyrean Spirits Pvt Ltd, but the company reported a wider net loss of Rs 4.80 crore versus Rs 2.41 crore in FY24. The company also changed its name from VirtualSoft Systems Limited and divested its stake in Roam1 Telecom Limited, signalling a strategic shift into the liquor business.
The Rights Issue could lead to dilution for existing shareholders, though terms are not yet finalised. The widened losses despite higher revenue suggest the liquor business pivot is still in an investment/scale-up phase, which may weigh on the stock in the near term.
