Kaveri Seed got a hearing notice from ITAT Hyderabad for 2 November 2026. The Income Tax Department is appealing the April 2026 CIT(Appeals) order that favored Kaveri and deleted a Rs 69.59 crore demand for AY 2023-24 over agricultural income exemption. CIT(Appeals) had fully allowed Kaveri's claim. Now the tax department has taken the matter to the tribunal. Kaveri says it has a strong case on merits and does not expect any material adverse impact.
