On the reaction day the stock moved 9.9 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 9.4 pts less than its Civil Construction peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

KEC reported Q2 FY27 revenue of Rs 5,468 crore, down 10% year on year, and profit after tax of Rs 30 crore, down 82%. Supply disruptions, land delays and higher costs hurt margins. YTD orders won were Rs 13,528 crore; the order book was Rs 39,946 crore and the tender pipeline exceeded Rs 200,000 crore. Net debt was Rs 7,793 crore, expected to fall to about Rs 6,000 crore by year-end. FY30 goals include 20% lower emissions intensity.
Weak profit and high debt may pressure the stock near term, but record orders and expected debt reduction support the longer-term outlook.
