K I C Metaliks Limited has submitted its 38th Annual Report for F.Y. 2024-25, with the AGM scheduled for August 22, 2025 via video conference. The company reported revenue of ₹71,723 lakhs, a 16% decline year-on-year due to lower realizations and production loss during a prolonged plant shutdown (Feb 6 – Apr 19, 2025) for rectification of its Mini Blast Furnace (MBF). The company swung from a net profit of ₹228 lakhs in F.Y.24 to a net loss of ₹609 lakhs in F.Y.25, though EBITDA remained positive at ₹1,362 lakhs. Cash flow from operations improved to ₹2,076 lakhs, aided by inventory reduction, and long-term borrowings were cut sharply from ₹1,052 lakhs to ₹187 lakhs (82% reduction), strengthening the balance sheet. Hot metal production stood at 1,72,037 MT, capex was ₹546 lakhs, and CSR spend was ₹65.10 lakhs.
Shareholders should note the loss-making year driven by the MBF shutdown and weak pig iron pricing, but positives include a stronger balance sheet, reduced debt, and improved operating cash flow. The company's ability to remain EBITDA-positive and sharply deleverage suggests it is positioning for recovery as the upgraded MBF resumes full operations.
