Gopal Iron and Steels Company reported zero revenue from operations in Q3 FY26 (Dec 2025), down from ₹66.59 lakhs in the same quarter last year, confirming that business operations have effectively stopped. The company posted a net loss of ₹15.69 lakhs for the quarter versus a profit of ₹2.44 lakhs a year ago, with EPS at -₹0.32. For the nine months ended December 2025, revenue collapsed to ₹10.21 lakhs from ₹244.13 lakhs last year, resulting in a cumulative loss of ₹13.34 lakhs. The auditor flagged an Emphasis of Matter noting that the company has disposed of all plant, machinery, and fixed assets, has been incurring recurring losses, and has pending income tax demands of about ₹1,013 lakhs (including interest) — including ₹924.91 lakhs stuck in a Supreme Court case. Despite this, the financial statements are still being prepared on a going concern basis.
This is a deeply negative update for shareholders — operations have ceased, revenue is zero, losses are mounting, reserves are negative at ₹-408.89 lakhs, and large contingent tax liabilities threaten the company's survival if the Supreme Court rules against it. The stock is likely to remain under significant pressure and is effectively a shell-trading entity at this point.
