Kinetic Engineering shared its Q1 FY27 investor presentation showcasing the electric re-launch of the iconic DX scooter via subsidiary Kinetic Watts and Volts. The company has set up battery capacity under the Range-X brand (60,000 units per year), signed over 125 dealer Letters of Intent, and targets 400,000 vehicles in 4-5 years with 5 percent market share by 2030/31. Promoters raised their stake from 49 percent in FY21 to about 65 percent in FY26, contributing more than Rs 100 Cr through warrants. However Q1 FY27 saw EBITDA margin dip to 8.3 percent from 11.5 percent and net profit drop to Rs 8.7 Mn from Rs 62.3 Mn, partly on one-off wage code costs.
Long-term EV and two-wheeler ambitions support the growth story, but weak Q1 FY27 margins and profit decline may weigh on near-term sentiment.
