Kinetic Engineering reported Q3 FY26 standalone revenue from operations of Rs. 3,585 lakhs, up about 24% YoY from Rs. 2,890 lakhs. Nine-month standalone revenue grew modestly to Rs. 11,050 lakhs versus Rs. 10,393 lakhs last year. However, standalone profit after tax fell sharply to Rs. 53 lakhs in Q3 (from Rs. 327 lakhs YoY) and to Rs. 180 lakhs for 9M FY26 (from Rs. 591 lakhs), hit by higher material and other expenses. Profit on sale of non-core assets contributed Rs. 458 lakhs to other income in 9M FY26, down from Rs. 1,009 lakhs a year ago. The Board also invested Rs. 9 crore in subsidiary Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd and appointed Rajesh Dhongade as new COO after Rajpal Sharma's resignation.
Strong revenue growth is masking a steep fall in core profitability — earnings are increasingly propped up by one-time asset sales. Shareholders should watch for sustained margin recovery and clarity on the new subsidiary's contribution before assigning a positive outlook.
