Kirloskar Ferrous Industries reported Q1 FY26 standalone revenue from operations of Rs 1,685.05 crore, up about 8.5% from Rs 1,553.71 crore in Q1 FY25. Standalone profit after tax rose roughly 27% YoY to Rs 95.77 crore (from Rs 75.57 crore), with EPS of Rs 5.82 versus Rs 4.60. On a consolidated basis, revenue grew to Rs 1,698.09 crore and PAT jumped about 36% YoY to Rs 95.12 crore. Operating (EBITDA) margin expanded to 12.69% standalone (12.03% a year ago) and 12.77% consolidated, supported by better mix and lower other expenses. The company raised Rs 400 crore via commercial papers during the quarter for working capital, with Rs 394.46 crore outstanding as of 30 June 2025; debt-equity ratio remains comfortable at 0.35. It also initiated voluntary liquidation of its Luxembourg subsidiary ISMT Enterprises SA, booking a small Rs 2.51 crore exceptional gain on consolidated books.
The double-digit profit growth and margin expansion signal improving operating performance, which is positive for shareholders; the small exceptional gain from winding up an overseas subsidiary is a minor positive but does not materially change the earnings picture.
