Kirloskar Industries reported Q1 FY27 consolidated PAT of 78.75 Cr versus 238.34 Cr a year ago, on revenue from operations of 1,779.15 Cr. The sharp PAT drop is mainly due to a 29.33 Cr exceptional stamp duty charge for the ISMT-KFIL merger approved by NCLT and a large deferred tax reversal benefit in the prior year quarter. Standalone PAT was 7.19 Cr on total income of 16.68 Cr. The Board also allotted 208 equity shares under the ESARP 2019 plan and appointed Sandeep Gokhale as Independent Director for 5 years from 1 September 2026, subject to postal ballot approval.
Q1 hit by one-time 29.33 Cr stamp duty for ISMT-KFIL merger. Core business steady; small equity dilution from ESARP. New director adds experience.
