Kokuyo Camlin reported Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025) revenue from operations of Rs 22,739 lakhs, down about 1% from Rs 22,942 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Net profit fell sharply to Rs 1,006 lakhs from Rs 1,624 lakhs YoY, a drop of roughly 38%, dragging EPS down to Rs 1.00 from Rs 1.62. Total expenses rose to Rs 21,397 lakhs from Rs 20,859 lakhs, which squeezed operating margins noticeably compared to a year ago. The statutory auditors (B S R & Co. LLP) issued a qualified/modified conclusion on the results, flagging the unresolved inventory discrepancy from FY25 (a Rs 2,357 lakh loss tied to a forensic audit covering April 2021 to September 2024) and noting that prior period figures may not be comparable. The Board approved the results at its 8 August 2025 meeting.
Negative for shareholders — profits slumped nearly 38% on flat-to-lower revenue, and the auditor's qualified opinion keeps the FY25 inventory fraud cloud hanging over the stock until the matter is fully resolved.
