KPI Green Energy has secured a sanction of INR 3,200 crore from State Bank of India to part-finance two renewable energy projects in Gujarat totaling over 1 GWp. The facilities cover a 250 MW Solar Project and a 370 MW Hybrid Project (557 MWp Solar + 124.20 MW Wind), both backed by 25-year PPAs with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). The financing includes both fund-based and non-fund based components, structured at a 75:25 debt-equity ratio. Projects are located in Bharuch and Surendranagar districts and are part of the KP Group's 10 GW capacity target by 2030. Management expects the projects to generate long-term recurring revenue and eliminate over 1.5 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually once commissioned.
Positive for shareholders — large-scale debt sanction from India's largest public sector bank signals strong institutional confidence and enables significant capacity expansion. This should boost future revenue visibility through long-term PPAs and support the company's growth trajectory in the renewable energy sector.
