KRBL posted its strongest ever quarterly profit at INR261 cr in Q1 FY27 on revenue of INR1,496 cr (down 6%). Domestic revenue grew 14% to INR1,221 cr while exports fell about 50% to INR244 cr due to West Asia shipping disruption. Non-Middle East exports still grew 37%. EBITDA margin jumped to 23.8% from 13.9% last year. Management guided to 17 to 18 percent full-year EBITDA margin, about 30 percent gross margin, and around 10 percent domestic volume growth. Export volumes are expected to recover progressively from Q2 as the Strait of Hormuz reopens.
Record profitability and strong domestic growth partly offset by Middle East export hit. Improved FY27 margin guidance is positive for shareholders.
