Kuantum Papers reported total revenue of Rs 1,093.16 crore for FY26, marginally lower than Rs 1,107.04 crore in FY25. However, profit after tax dropped sharply to Rs 41.95 crore from Rs 115.18 crore in the previous year—a decline of about 64%. Finance costs increased to Rs 46.36 crore (up from Rs 39.30 crore), while depreciation rose to Rs 65.33 crore. The company recommended a dividend of Rs 2.50 per share (250%) worth Rs 21.82 crore. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified opinion with no qualifications. Long-term borrowings stand at Rs 740.61 crore.
The sharp 64% decline in net profit despite relatively flat revenue signals significant margin compression, which could put pressure on the stock price. The company is not a Large Corporate as per SEBI framework, and the clean audit opinion provides some comfort.
