Kuantum Papers reported total revenue of Rs 1,093.16 crore for FY2026, marginally lower than Rs 1,107.04 crore in FY2025. Profit before tax dropped sharply to Rs 56.55 crore from Rs 155.38 crore in the prior year, while net profit fell to Rs 41.95 crore versus Rs 115.18 crore — a decline of approximately 63.6%. EPS for the year stood at Rs 4.81, down from Rs 13.20. Finance costs rose to Rs 46.36 crore (vs Rs 39.30 crore). The company proposed a dividend of Rs 2.50 per share. Statutory auditors O P Bagla & Co LLP issued an unmodified opinion. Total reserves as at March 2026 were Rs 1,219.59 crore. Net cash generated from operating activities was Rs 219.16 crore, and cash and cash equivalents stood at Rs 40.93 crore.
The sharp fall in profitability — net profit down ~64% YoY on relatively flat revenue — signals cost pressure and margin compression. The significant increase in borrowings (non-current borrowings rose to Rs 589.70 crore from Rs 402.73 crore) warrants monitoring. The clean audit opinion provides some comfort.
