Kuwer Industries reported full-year FY25 revenue from operations of Rs 5,891.31 lakhs, almost flat compared to Rs 5,897.19 lakhs in FY24. Net profit for the full year jumped to Rs 45.56 lakhs (EPS Rs 0.50) from Rs 10.60 lakhs (EPS Rs 0.12) in FY24, a sharp rise on a low base with no exceptional items this year versus a Rs 42.03 lakh hit last year. However, the picture turned weak in Q4 FY25, where revenue fell sharply to Rs 1,359.79 lakhs from Rs 5,786.70 lakhs in Q4 FY24, pushing the quarter into a Rs 7.60 lakh loss versus a Rs 210.64 lakh profit a year ago. Cash flow from operations worsened to negative Rs 380.67 lakhs (vs negative Rs 102.34 lakhs in FY24), and total borrowings rose to Rs 3,224 lakhs against equity of Rs 1,781 lakhs. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified opinion on the results.
Headline full-year profit growth looks strong but is flattered by a low base and the absence of last year's one-time charge. The steep Q4 revenue slump, swing to a quarterly loss, deeply negative operating cash flow, and rising short-term borrowings (up ~42% YoY) are red flags that could weigh on the stock and signal stress in working capital and demand.
