L&T Finance Limited reported strong FY2025-26 results with consolidated profit after tax of Rs. 2,982.87 crore, up 12.8% from Rs. 2,643.42 crore in the previous year. Total consolidated income rose to Rs. 17,917.03 crore from Rs. 15,940.98 crore. The Board recommended maintaining the final dividend at Rs. 2.75 per equity share (face value Rs. 10), same as last year. The company also approved entering the pre-paid instruments business (wallets and cards), raising funds via non-convertible debentures up to Rs. 1,23,500 crores, and issuing preference shares up to Rs. 6,012 crores. Two Whole-time Directors were appointed subject to regulatory approvals. An exceptional item of Rs. 28.51 crore (net of tax) was recognized due to new labour codes implementation.
The maintained dividend and strong profit growth indicate financial stability, which is positive for income-focused investors. The approval for new business lines and fund-raising plans suggest expansion ambitions. No dividend cut signal as the payout per share remains unchanged.
