Laffans Petrochemicals reported FY25 revenue from operations of Rs. 816.10 Lacs, up about 35% from Rs. 605.82 Lacs in FY24, driven by its chemical and commodity trading segment. However, total revenue (including other income) slipped to Rs. 1,384.05 Lacs from Rs. 1,413.82 Lacs, and full-year profit after tax declined roughly 23% to Rs. 200.39 Lacs (from Rs. 260.43 Lacs). Q4 standalone numbers were weak, posting a loss after tax of Rs. 244 Lacs versus a loss of Rs. 251.33 Lacs in Q4 FY24. The operating cash flow turned sharply negative at Rs. (599.95) Lacs versus Rs. (178.78) Lacs last year. Statutory auditor Parveen Lokwani & Co. issued an unmodified opinion on the results.
Top-line growth is encouraging but weak Q4, falling full-year profits, and a much deeper negative operating cash flow point to pressure on earnings quality and working capital. Shareholders should watch for cash flow improvement in coming quarters; re-appointment of the promoter MD and Whole-time Director signals continuity in leadership.
