Laffans Petrochemicals reported weak Q2 FY26 results with revenue from operations falling sharply to Rs. 177.74 lakhs from Rs. 457.78 lakhs in Q2 FY25 (a drop of about 61%). Other income turned negative at Rs. (383.69) lakhs, pushing total revenue into the red at Rs. (205.95) lakhs. The company swung to a loss before tax of Rs. 460.56 lakhs (vs. a profit of Rs. 150.55 lakhs a year ago) and posted a net loss of Rs. 431.17 lakhs, translating to a negative EPS of Rs. (5.39). For the half year ended September 2025, total revenue fell to Rs. 565.52 lakhs from Rs. 1,478.16 lakhs, and PAT dropped to Rs. 210.64 lakhs from Rs. 648.30 lakhs. The statutory auditor (Parveen Lokwani & Co.) issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications. Separately, Company Secretary Ms. Vaishali Narendra Rathod resigned citing pre-occupation, effective November 11, 2025.
Negative for shareholders — the company swung from profit to a sizeable quarterly loss driven by both a sharp revenue decline and negative other income. The voluntary exit of the Company Secretary adds a minor governance concern, though it is not unusual and a replacement will need to be appointed soon.
