Lakshmi Electrical Control Systems reported FY2026 revenue of Rs 237.58 crore, up 11.9% from Rs 212.31 crore in FY2025. However, profit after tax declined sharply to Rs 1.19 crore from Rs 3.47 crore in the prior year, a fall of about 66%. EPS dropped to Rs 4.83 from Rs 14.12. The Board recommended a dividend of Rs 3 per share (30% on face value of Rs 10), subject to shareholder approval at the AGM on July 31, 2026. The Plastics segment continues to be a drag, reporting a loss of Rs 2.72 crore versus Rs 95 lakh loss earlier. The company also announced a change in statutory auditors after two terms of five years each.
Sharp PAT decline despite revenue growth signals margin compression and operational challenges in the Plastics segment. The maintained dividend provides some support for shareholders, but the stock may face pressure due to significantly lower profitability.
