Landmark Property Development Company has submitted its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2025, approved at a board meeting held on 8 August 2025. Total income rose sharply to Rs. 52.89 lacs from Rs. 16.62 lacs in the same quarter last year, driven mainly by higher revenue from operations. However, the company slipped into a small loss with a net loss after tax of Rs. (0.68) lacs versus a profit of Rs. 5.72 lacs in Q1 FY25, after booking a Rs. 400 lacs provision for expected credit loss on advances. The auditor (V. Sankar Aiyar & Co.) issued an unmodified limited review opinion but flagged an Emphasis of Matter regarding recoverability of Rs. 3,526.15 lacs (gross) in space booking advances from Ansal Landmark (Karnal) Township Pvt. Ltd.
The sharp revenue jump is positive, but the swing to a loss and the large outstanding recoverable from a financially weak group entity (ALKTPL) raise concerns about asset quality. Shareholders should watch for further provisioning on the Karnal advance, which remains the biggest risk to the balance sheet.
