On the reaction day the stock moved 1.4 pts more than Nifty 100 and 1.1 pts more than its Civil Construction peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
L&T's board approved unaudited Q2 and H1 FY26 results. H1 order inflow rose 39% to Rs 210,237 crore, revenue 13% to Rs 131,662 crore and PAT 22% to Rs 7,543 crore; order book Rs 667,047 crore. Q2 revenue rose 10% and PAT 16%, but group EBITDA margin slipped to 10.0% from 10.3%. Standalone Q2 posted a Rs 3,591 crore loss after an exceptional charge. In-principle deal to sell L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) to Telangana.
Strong orders and profit growth support the stock, but a slimmer margin and standalone loss may weigh on sentiment; Hyderabad Metro sale aids value.
