Laxmi Dental Limited reported standalone revenue from operations of Rs 2,060.37 million for FY2026, up 21.8% from Rs 1,691.57 million in FY2025. However, standalone profit after tax declined 25% to Rs 193.37 million from Rs 257.75 million, impacted by a Rs 57.56 million exceptional expense due to increased gratuity provisions from new labour codes. On a consolidated basis, revenue grew 14.8% to Rs 2,715.03 million, with PAT at Rs 289.17 million (down 9.2% from Rs 318.34 million). The company has multiple subsidiaries and joint ventures, including a proposed merger of its wholly-owned subsidiary Bizdent Devices Private Limited. The statutory auditor MSKA & Associates LLP issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
Despite revenue growth exceeding 20%, the decline in profitability may concern investors. The exceptional charge from new labour codes is a one-time impact, but the company needs to show improved operational efficiency. The pending merger could simplify the group structure going forward.
