Laxmi India Finance shared its Q1 FY26 earnings call transcript, its first post-listing call after listing on August 5, 2025. AUM grew 30% YoY to INR 1,346 crores, PBT rose 46% to INR 12.77 crores, and PAT jumped 45.77% to INR 9.65 crores. Credit rating was upgraded from A- to A positive, cost of borrowing improved 33 bps to 11.82%, and collection efficiency stood at 94.92%. The company, which focuses on secured MSME and vehicle lending with 98% secured book across 159 branches in 5 states, flagged a QoQ dip in net interest income due to a 10-15 bps rise in NPAs and industry-wide liquidity tightness. Management guided for 35-40% AUM growth in FY26, ~50% profit growth, and a target of INR 5,000-6,000 crores AUM in 3-5 years.
Positive for shareholders — management expects further cost of borrowing reduction of 100-125 bps and a two-notch credit rating upgrade from fresh IPO funds, which should boost margins. Short-term watch is on NPA trend and the slightly soft QoQ net interest income, though management expressed confidence in keeping NPAs below 1%.
