Lemon Tree Hotels' subsidiary, Hyacinth Hotels Private Limited, had filed an appeal before the Delhi High Court against a property tax assessment order from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). Instead of continuing the appeal, Hyacinth opted for MCD's SUNIYO Scheme (a property tax settlement/regularisation scheme) and deposited the required property tax amount. Following this, Hyacinth sought permission to withdraw the appeal, and the Delhi High Court, by an order dated February 18, 2026, has permitted the withdrawal. This brings closure to the property tax dispute through the MCD's settlement route rather than a court ruling.
