Oswal Overseas has informed the stock exchanges that State Bank of India's Commercial Branch in Bareilly has sent a letter (dated 10.09.2025, received by the company on 16.09.2025) stating that renewal of its credit facilities is not possible and the company's account will be classified as NPA (Non-Performing Asset) effective 15.09.2025. The bank has called up the entire sanctioned exposure. Two facilities are involved — GECL (sanctioned Rs. 5.00 cr, outstanding Rs. 2.23 cr) and Cash Credit (sanctioned Rs. 5.00 cr, outstanding Rs. 4.97 cr) — putting total outstanding at roughly Rs. 7.20 crores across both facilities.
This is a sharply negative event for the company. NPA classification means the bank has deemed the loan unrecoverable on schedule and may initiate recovery proceedings, which could severely constrain the company's working capital and operations. Expect significant stock price weakness and heightened risk perception among investors and lenders.
