L.G. Balakrishnan & Bros reported FY25 audited results with standalone revenue from operations of Rs. 2,390.7 crore (up ~7.2% from Rs. 2,231.0 crore in FY24) and standalone net profit of Rs. 290.7 crore (up ~7.8% from Rs. 269.5 crore). Consolidated revenue grew ~9.9% to Rs. 2,578.3 crore with consolidated net profit of Rs. 302.1 crore, up ~11.3%. The Transmission segment remained the key growth driver while Metal Forming saw revenue growth but margin pressure. The board recommended a dividend of Rs. 20 per share (200% on face value), subject to shareholder approval. Suri & Co. issued an unmodified audit opinion. Exceptional items of Rs. 23 crore arose from profit on compulsory acquisition of land/building and a subsidy.
Steady mid-single-digit revenue growth and double-digit consolidated earnings growth, combined with a strong 200% dividend, should be viewed positively by shareholders. Capital expenditure more than doubled year-on-year, signaling reinvestment but also future depreciation pressure to watch.
