On the reaction day the stock moved 0.5 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 0.1 pts less than its Footwear peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Liberty Shoes shared a SEBI letter dated 7 October 2026 clarifying how to process reclassification requests from two promoter shareholders, Arpan Gupta individually and as Karta of Dinesh Kumar Gupta HUF, who want to move from Promoter to Public category under Regulation 31A. SEBI did not comment on eligibility, saying that will be decided by stock exchanges and shareholders. Applications are pending with NSE and BSE for No Objection Certificate, after which shareholder approval will be sought.
Procedural update only. Reclassification is not yet effective; needs NOC from exchanges and shareholder approval before any change in promoter status.
