LMW Limited's board, at its meeting on July 17, 2025, approved the unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations rose to Rs. 685.37 crore from Rs. 659.22 crore in Q1 FY25 (about 4% YoY), while net profit nearly doubled to Rs. 24.47 crore from Rs. 12.49 crore (up about 96%), translating to an EPS of Rs. 22.91 vs. Rs. 11.69. The company also booked an exceptional expense of Rs. 1.29 crore towards a Voluntary Retirement Scheme. On the consolidated side, revenue grew to Rs. 694.14 crore and net profit rose modestly to Rs. 11.47 crore, weighed down by losses at the UAE/China subsidiaries. Segment-wise, the Textile Machinery division remained in the red, while the Machine Tool & Foundry division posted strong revenue and profit growth. The statutory auditor (S. Krishnamoorthy & Co.) issued an unmodified limited review report.
The sharp jump in standalone profit, supported by margin expansion and a better-performing Machine Tool segment, is positive for shareholders and may lift short-term sentiment. However, the continued losses in the core Textile Machinery division and weak consolidated earnings (dragged by overseas subsidiaries) cap the upside.
