Lotus Chocolate Company reported Q1 FY26 revenue from operations of ₹15,870.76 lakhs, up about 12.3% from ₹14,130.93 lakhs in the same quarter last year. However, profit before tax fell sharply to ₹397.27 lakhs from ₹1,040.38 lakhs YoY, a drop of roughly 62%, while profit after tax declined to ₹298.66 lakhs (₹685.84 lakhs YoY). Basic EPS for the quarter stood at ₹2.33 versus ₹5.34 in the year-ago period. The biggest pressure on profits came from higher raw material costs and a steep jump in finance costs (₹407.69 lakhs vs ₹61.80 lakhs YoY). The auditor, Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP, issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications. Prior-year figures have been restated to reflect the amalgamation of wholly owned subsidiary Soubhagya Confectionery Private Limited.
Mixed signals for shareholders — top-line growth is healthy but profitability has been significantly compressed, largely due to rising input and financing costs, which could weigh on the stock in the near term until margin pressures ease.
