MSL Global reported a sharp jump in Q3 FY26 standalone total income to Rs. 513.10 lakhs, up from just Rs. 1.52 lakhs in the same quarter last year, driven almost entirely by Rs. 513.10 lakhs in other operating income. The company swung to a standalone net profit of Rs. 425.75 lakhs from a loss of Rs. 3.36 lakhs a year ago, with EPS of Rs. 2.52. For the nine-month period, standalone net profit stood at Rs. 410.71 lakhs versus a loss of Rs. 45.58 lakhs in 9M FY25. On a consolidated basis, Q3 net profit was Rs. 367.38 lakhs, though this includes a Rs. 12.20 lakh loss share from an associate and Rs. 22.85 lakh impact from non-controlling interest. Notably, other comprehensive income showed a loss of Rs. 1,543.38 lakhs, likely fair-value changes on investments, dragging total comprehensive income to a negative Rs. 1,117.63 lakhs. The company has also recently acquired over 51% of ComplianceKart Private Limited, making it a subsidiary from November 2025. The statutory auditor, S.V. Bhat & Co, issued an unqualified limited review report.
The headline profit jump looks dramatic but is built on a near-zero base and appears driven by a one-time operating income item, while the OCI loss of Rs. 1,543 lakhs shows significant mark-to-market erosion on investments. The acquisition of ComplianceKart changes the company's business profile, and shareholders should watch for sustainability of this income, contribution from the new subsidiary, and details on the investment portfolio driving the large OCI swings.
