On the reaction day the stock moved 3.4 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 3.9 pts more than its Fertilizers peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
September quarter revenue fell 4.1% year on year to Rs 510.37 crore, but profit after tax jumped from Rs 1.58 crore to Rs 12.95 crore. Half year profit rose 35.5% to Rs 57.01 crore as revenue stayed nearly flat at Rs 1,182.45 crore. Operating cash flow was Rs 324.77 crore. The unmodified review flagged subsidy uncertainty, overdue Government of India loans and regrouped prior figures; plant shutdowns continued.
The profit jump may support sentiment, but flat sales, plant shutdowns, subsidy dependence and loan defaults could limit stock gains.
